Thank you for taking the time to visit Essex Dyslexia. My name is Sally and I am a Level 7 Specialist Teacher and Assessor for Dyslexia. I have been a primary school teacher for more than 26 years and, for the past 13 years, have specialised in special educational needs as a SENCo. I continue to work within a school setting, ensuring my practice remains current, relevant and closely aligned with today’s classrooms and curriculum. My specialist training, combined with my extensive practical experience, allows me to provide thorough, evidence-based assessments and highly personalised support programmes.
I am passionate about helping children and young people understand how they learn, rebuild confidence and develop the skills they need to thrive both academically and emotionally. My approach is nurturing, child-centred and supportive, working closely with families and schools to ensure every child feels understood, valued and empowered to succeed.
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Primary Education Studies, PGCert, QTS, NPQH, NASENCO, AMBDA, APC, PPM
I hold a current DBS, professional indemnity insurance and am a member of British Dyslexia Association and Patoss.
